About the Company
- Well-established engineering group with diversified operations across infrastructure, and engineering services.
- The organization is seeking a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function of one of its key subsidiaries.
- This role will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, overseeing financial governance, driving operational performance, and supporting business growth.
Role Overview
CFO – Subsidiary Level will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial leadership, including financial strategy, reporting, governance, treasury, and operational finance.
The role requires someone who understands project-based industries such as engineering, construction, infrastructure, or EPC environments, where financial oversight across multiple projects, cost control, and margin management are critical.
The CFO will work closely with the Group Finance function while providing hands-on leadership within the subsidiary.
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive the financial strategy of the subsidiary.
- Provide financial insights to support business growth, project investments, and operational decision-making.
- Translate business strategy into financial plans, budgets, and performance targets.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reporting, and board reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and group reporting requirements.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
Project & Operational Finance
- Drive strong financial governance across engineering and construction projects.
- Monitor project profitability, cost controls, cash flow, and margin performance.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure financial discipline and accurate project reporting.
Cashflow & Treasury Management
- Oversee treasury operations including cash flow management, working capital optimization, and banking relationships.
- Ensure adequate funding for ongoing projects and operational needs.
Risk Management & Governance
- Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and audit processes.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance team across financial accounting, project finance, and reporting functions.
- Build a high-performing finance function aligned with business objectives.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the key financial liaison between the subsidiary and the group headquarters.
- Support board and senior management discussions with clear financial insights and analysis.
Requirements
Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, EPC, or project-based industries is highly preferred.
Experience working with group structures and subsidiary reporting.
